Darkness Falls / Timeline

 

Following their incredible debut album 'Alive In Us', Darkness Falls quickly return on hfn with their next release - 'Timeline'. Including the brooding original version, then a real international crowd of remixes from the likes of US upstart Com Truise, the UK‘s Tom Demac and Spain‘s Pional.

Laden with atmosphere, room filling production and dramatic synths, the original of 'Timeline' rushes into our consciousness like only Darkness Falls can - moody, bittersweet and timeless. An instrumental mix is included as a bonus at the end of the record.

NYC‘s new kid on the block Com Truise turns up with a cool electro mix that takes us on a glamourous drive from the 80s, to the future then back again!! This works especially well in contrast with the B side‘s remixes - if you flip over the record you‘re greeted with the blissful harmonics and twinkling synths of Tom Demac‘s remix. Demac warms up his analog gear and studio knowhow in a truly spellbinding deep house treatment of 'Timeline' - heavy, playful and sincerely original.

Spain‘s Pional has made a name as a stand out figure in the nu-disco / deeper house scene of tomorrow. The mix pushes into earthy, vintage funk zones as the reverb units are set to full and  wonderful live bass and acoustic instruments help tell the emotional story.
