New ticktock EP - A Violence of Innocence

ticktock is one of those young bands that can become a big star in the indie-universe. Originating from Copenhagen and UK, the trio around singer Sebastian Zieler holds both – the reliable sense of style and sound from one of the most trendsetting countries in the world and the simmering and energetic creativity of the aspiring Scandinavian city. It comes by no surprise that ticktock’s second EP ‘A Violence Of Innocence’ contains four elaborate songs.
 
With mesmerizing melodies and sometimes crooned, sometimes dashing vocals, the band is sticking to their signature synthetic sound.
The track Hatefuck premiered on UK’s finest Dummy Magazine: 'an exercise in synthetic grit, with glitchy undertones that frontman Sebastian Zieler's vocals cut through for an endorphin-releasing finish.
 
'Good friends in good moods have been enlisted on several tracks: a drunk, middle- of-the-night jam between friends provides the backbone for the outro of the title track, and the EP’s choir parts were recorded by a veritable who’s who of the Danish underground, with everyone in the room being in on the idea: “We tried to play with an open hand, and to tell everyone what our intention was. Each element - from lyrics, to arrangement, and to mix - has been loaded this way.
