The second volume in the 'Sisters & Brothers' series sees the turn of Russian Girls - the brainchild of Guðlaugur Halldór Einarsson, a member of the alternative Icelandic band Fufanu who just released their second album ‘Sports’ and of the duo Captain Fufanu before that.
As Russian Girls, Einarsson explores a range of sounds, fitting perfectly into the the Sisters & Broth-ers ethos. To get a taste of that wonky EP, listen to Autopilot, an adventurous pop song featuring a detuned groove and spiky guitars.
The audivisual pendant of 'Autopilot' is the lo-fi musicvideo, which is showing the singer Tatjana Dís and Sóley Tómasdóttir on a garbage can amongst other random places and looking aloof, effortless and incredibly cool at once. The video is shot and edited by Guðlaugur Einarsson.
