OUT NOW: Kasper Bjørke - Bohemian Soul remixes & video

One person living fully and freely two lives.
Caught between the illuminating glare of day and the comforting obscurity of night, one soul travels effortlessly between two worlds. Neither here nor there, man nor woman, asleep nor awake. Under Fortune’s feet yet more than equal to Fate...

The Copenhagen based producer and DJ is back with an exceptional remix package on hfn music. Having dropped the stunning Fool album earlier this year, we are now treated to several stellar remixes of one of the standout tracks, the third official single ‘Bohemian Soul’.
Excellent remixes by  NYC based Still Going (DFA/Still Going Records), Adana Twins (Exploited), Tambien Project and the Swedish indieband This Is Head are waiting for you. Right in time with the single release, an official music video directed and shot by Karim Huu Do (who also was director on videos such as Kasper ́s 1st hit single “Young Again” from the last album) is out now and just got video premiered on Noisey.

The video is shot on location in Thailand and is entering into the world of Lady Boys. It was important that the project would be observational without being voyeuristic Karim Huu Do´s goal was to make a film that was positive, emotional and visually stunning. He knew that it was necessary to show the Lady Boy community’s humanness, openness and vitality.

The film is centered on Bam-Bam, a twenty-something Lady Boy from Northern Thailand. Far from home, she talks often of her brother and her mother’s pride and love. Bam-bam is a simple, funny and shy lady by day. But, by night, she transforms into an extravagantly bedecked “Beyonce”.
